Guests are welcome to check-in anytime after 2:00pm on the day of arrival. Please communicate your estimated arrival time by calling/texting us at 612-888-6445
Check out is at 11:00am on the day of departure. Guests are expected to complete the Check Out Checklist (see page 14 of Guest Experience Guide) prior to departing their hermitage. Guests are welcome to use other areas on the land after checking out of their hermitage. We depend on your timely checkout to successfully execute our COVID safety protocols and cleaning.
You can bring your own food or go to a local restaurant (see page 13 of Guest Experience Guide). Each hermitage has its own small fridge. If you put food in the larger refrigerator in the Wellness Center, please mark it with your name. It can be easiest to wash your dishes in the Wellness Center sink (with running water) and then place your dishes in our dishwasher to be disinfected. Our team runs the dishwasher.
Sorting
Please place your paper and rinsed recycling in the labeled containers accordingly in the garage.

Composting
We have small-scale composting on-site. note that composting can be put in small buckets located in each hermitage. Please, no meats, bones, dairy, oil, and/or paper towels.
Heating and Cooling
Each hermitage is equipped with heating and air conditioning
Water
Filtered water is available for guests in the Wellness center. We encourage guests to bring a reusable water bottle to refill. There is no running water in the hermitages; guests will find a water jug in their space for brushing teeth, doing dishes, and washing hands.
Toilets
Each hermitage bathroom is equipped with a Sun-Mar Composting Toilet. It uses peat moss, wood chips, and natural microbes to break down human waste and toilet paper into a product that can then be returned to the Earth safely.
Internet
There is no wifi in the hermitages; wifi is available in the Wellness Center.
